Tennessee Flight Training Receives Award for Excellence
Tennessee Flight Training has been recognized for its high standard of accomplishment in flight training by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the world’s largest aviation association. It has been awarded a spot on the Flight Training Experience Awards as a Distinguished Flight School, a title given to high scoring flight training providers from the 2025 Flight Training Experience Review.
Tennessee Flight Training was the only flight school in the state to receive this accolade, and this is the 10th time in its 15 years in business that the school has been recognized.
“We are honored to receive the AOPA award and to be recognized as a top flight school,” said Isaac Shrum, Vice President of Business Development at Tennessee Flight Training. “This achievement is a testament to our incredible staff, flight instructors, and to our students, whose dedication and passion for aviation inspire us every day. We are grateful for their support and thrilled to be part of their aviation journey.”
The Flight Training Experience Awards were created to highlight the best flight training the industry has to offer. The 2025 awards were drawn from flight students and pilots who voluntarily reviewed their flight training experience this past fall through an AOPA online customer feedback process.
The survey collected comments from students at Tennessee Flight Training, including the following praise for its programs:
“Tennessee Flight Training excels because of their unwavering commitment to safety, transparency, and personalized instruction. From day one, I felt like I was not just learning to fly, but embracing a passion for aviation in a supportive, inspiring community.”
“I have trained at a few different flight schools to-date and can undoubtedly say Tennessee Flight Training has been the best school yet. From access to a number of different resources, friendly office staff, amazing instructors, and great planes, this school has greatly exceeded my expectations.”
“Tennessee Flight Training is an amazing school to start your aviation journey, with highly trained pilots and professional staff creating not only a pleasant environment but a seamless experience as well. With safety being the number one priority, they do a phenomenal job making sure all aircraft are safe and secure to provide the most reliable and comfortable experience possible. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to start a rewarding
career in aviation.”
